Snap!
Germany, 1989–now
German dance project founded in Frankfurt by producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti (as Benito Benites and John 'Virgo' Garrett III). 'The Power' (1990) and 'Rhythm Is a Dancer' (1992) fused soul vocals, house and rap into global hits, and the pair are widely credited as inventors of the Eurodance formula.

Who influenced Snap!?
- Technotronic — Snap! rose in the wake of the hip-house breakthrough Technotronic's 'Pump Up the Jam' had just made in Europe, refining it into the Eurodance formula they are credited with inventing.
- Afrika Bambaataa — 'The Power' is built on rap and electro samples (Chill Rob G, Mantronix's 'King of the Beats') — the hip-hop tradition Afrika Bambaataa pioneered.
