New York duo of Simeon (on a home-built bank of oscillators he called 'the Simeon') and drummer Danny Taylor, active 1967–1970 and revived in the 1990s. Cut off from academic electronic music — Simeon called himself 'strictly a rocker' — they melded pulsing oscillator drones with psychedelic rock, making one of the first electronic rock records and prefiguring synth-pop, krautrock and techno.
