Geoff Barrow

British musician and producer (b. 1971), the sonic architect of Portishead. A bedroom hip-hop DJ turned studio tape-op who cut his teeth on Massive Attack's Blue Lines, he fused hip-hop beats with noir film-score atmosphere — and later followed his krautrock love into the band Beak> and acclaimed film scores.
