American disco group assembled in 1977 by producers Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo, built on the lush, orchestral disco sound of the era. Costumed as American archetypes, they scored era-defining camp anthems 'Y.M.C.A.', 'Macho Man' and 'In the Navy'.
