Iowa band formed in 1992 by Corey Taylor and Jim Root, who later joined Slipknot and revived Stone Sour in 2002 as their melodic outlet. Balancing heavy riffs with big choruses and acoustic ballads, 'Bother' and 'Through Glass' made it a mainstream rock fixture in its own right.
