Poets of the Fall
Finland, 2003–now
Helsinki band led by singer Marko Saaresto, formed in 2003. They broke through with 'Late Goodbye' (written for the game Max Payne 2) and the anthem 'Carnival of Rust', building a devoted international following with melodic, cinematic rock — and later voicing the fictional band Old Gods of Asgard in Remedy's Alan Wake games.
