Pete Johnson

American pianist (1904-1967) from Kansas City, one of the three masters of boogie-woogie alongside Albert Ammons and Meade Lux Lewis. His 1938 'Roll 'Em Pete' with Big Joe Turner is one of the records that set the boogie craze off and pointed toward rock and roll.
