KC and the Sunshine Band

American funk and disco band formed in Miami in 1973 by Harry Wayne 'KC' Casey and Richard Finch. Their horn-driven, James Brown-rooted party grooves — 'That's the Way (I Like It)', 'Get Down Tonight', 'I'm Your Boogie Man' — helped push funk into the disco mainstream.
