Scottish singer (1931–1998) whose trio scored a run of early-1960s UK hits built on his soaring falsetto yodel, most famously the 1961 'Wimoweh'. A stint in Nashville left a country streak in his style. He found a late-career cult moment guesting on Happy Mondays' 1989 single 'Lazyitis'.
