Doc Watson

USA, 1953–2012

American guitarist and singer (1923-2012) from Deep Gap, North Carolina, blind from infancy. He played fiddle tunes flat-picked on a guitar at a speed nobody had attempted, and the folk revival found him in 1960 already fully formed. He toured for fifteen years with his son Merle until Merle's death in 1985.
