American band from Akron, Ohio, formed on the theory of de-evolution after the Kent State shootings. Jerky, mechanised rhythm, boiler suits and flowerpot hats, and a cover of 'Satisfaction' that dismantles it - 'Whip It' made them a novelty to the public and a foundation to everyone who came after.
