Norwegian duo of Fenriz and Nocturno Culto, formed in 1986. After a death-metal debut they recorded A Blaze in the Northern Sky, Under a Funeral Moon and Transilvanian Hunger, whose deliberately raw production set an aesthetic template for black metal.
