Norwegian duo of Fenriz and Nocturno Culto, formed in 1986. After a death-metal debut they made the raw, primitive 'unholy trinity' — A Blaze in the Northern Sky, Under a Funeral Moon, Transilvanian Hunger — that set the aesthetic template for black metal.
