Russia, 1972–now

Russian singer-songwriter (b. 1953), a founding father of Russian-language rock as leader of Aquarium. Steeped in Dylan, the Beatles and Bowie, 'BG' also built a solo catalogue, including the 1989 English-language album Radio Silence — produced by Eurythmics' Dave Stewart — the first Western-label deal for a Soviet rock musician.
