Swedish project of Quorthon, formed in 1983. Its first albums codified the lo-fi, tremolo-picked template of Scandinavian black metal, before Blood Fire Death and Hammerheart pioneered epic 'Viking metal' — a foundational influence on the Norwegian scene.
